Introduction to Adobe Lightroom

Every single one of my photographs has some sort of edit applied to it and so should yours. I personally think the whole SSOC (straight out of camera) fad is way over rated. Yes, you can capture a pretty good shot in camera, but you can never get a great shot from straight out of your camera. You need to tweak the photo to make it truly pop.

There are a number of different photo editing software out there, but the one that probably 85% of all the photographers I know use is Adobe Lightroom. (You can get a free 7 day trial here) Adobe Lightroom is the first photo editing software that was designed specifically for digital photography with input by photographers from all over the world.

In this workshop we will cover:

  • Lightroom features
  • Organizing your images
  • Editing photos
  • exporting images
  • backing up systems

This workshop is targeted at beginner to intermediate photographers who are looking for a way to improve the look of their images and also establishing an efficient workflow to ensure that they never loose a file or an image again.

Materials required:

  • Laptop with lightroom installed
  • backup hard drive recommended
  • A camera
  • Selection of images to work with

You will also get a selection of my images to work with so you can have a go at following along with me as I edit images.
